2018 is coming to a close and Android fans have a lot to choose from. The holiday season may be over but that doesn’t mean you still can’t get a good deal on a budget phone. Sure, it won’t have the fanciest of features, but budget phones can do a lot these days, and two such devices were recently launched.
First up we have the Xiaomi Mi Play which launched on Christmas Eve with the trendy waterdrop notch (a first from Xiaomi) and some pretty thin bezels too. It’s shipping with MIUI 10, 4GB of RAM, and the MediaTek P35 chipset for around $159. The forums for this device are now open at the link below.
Next up we have a new device from the struggling smartphone maker HTC. It too is a budget phone but this one will cost you about $194 for the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. However, those who want a bit more can spend about $226 for the 4GB variant of the HTC Desire 12s and get 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.
Anyone who has had their eye on these devices since launch should join us in their respective official XDA forum to talk about, share their experience, and see what types of mods are being created for them.
