The Google Pixel 4 will feature more Night Sight improvements and new “Motion Mode”

As we get closer to the launch of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, leaks and rumors have really picked up. Earlier today, we saw leaked photos of the white Pixel 4 and learned about some potential new camera features. Now, a new report is claiming the camera will have even more to offer this year.

Night Sight was arguably the most impressive feature to debut on the Pixel 3 last year. Naturally, Google will be looking to make it even better for the Pixel 4. The report claims Night Sight will be getting some speed-related and other general improvements. The report says Google will be bragging about the Pixel 4’s ability to take photos of the starry night sky. That’s something that has notoriously been difficult to do with smartphones.

Next up is a new “Motion Mode.” As the name implies, this will be a mode for taking action shots. Motion Mode will be able to focus on moving subjects in the foreground and blur the background.

Camera performance has become the bread and butter of the Pixel line and it doesn’t look like Google is slowing down. While the rest of the Pixel phone specifications and features aren’t super noteworthy, the cameras have always stood out. We’ll know more about the Pixel 4 very soon.
