Vivo Z1Pro with hole punch display, triple rear cameras, 5000mAh battery launches in India

Vivo almost doubled its share in the Indian smartphone market during the first quarter of 2019 compared to the last year. This success can be attributed to the company’s strong offline presence, strategic investments, and a lead in innovations like the pop-up camera with smartphones like the V15 and the V15 Pro. Vivo is now moving forward and launching another mid-ranger – Vivo Z1Pro – in India with a hole punch selfie camera, a chunky battery, triple rear camera at an affordable price.

While Vivo can be titled a pioneer of the pop-up selfie cameras, the company is now taking a more practical approach for the Z1Pro. This smartphone features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a hole punch on the top left corner. In terms of design, the Vivo Z1Pro looks exactly like the Vivo Z5x, which was launched in China last month as the first Vivo smartphone with a hole punch design. For its reflective back panel, the Z1Pro gets the option of three different finishes – Sonic Black, Sonic Blue, and Mirror Black.

Fewer companies are now shying from throwing triple rear cameras into the bag even for an affordable price, and Vivo isn’t lagging behind. The Vivo Z1Pro is also equipped with triple cameras on the back and this setup includes a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone features a 32MP selfie camera, thus keeping the traditional Vivo users pleased who have always been after a spruced vanity.

Besides photography, Vivo is also hailing the gaming performance of the Vivo Z1Pro. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 712, unlike the Snapdragon 710 on the Z5x, which is paired to up to 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone gets up to 128GB storage with support for up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Ultra Game Mode comes with an inbuilt voice changer and supports 4D vibrations as well as 3D surround sound.

The Vivo Z1Pro has three variants in India – 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, which are priced at ₹14,999, ₹16,990, and ₹17,990, respectively. The smartphones will be available for sale via Flipkart and Vivo’s official online store starting July 11th.
