The Moto E6 has been on our radar since all the way back in April, but there hasn’t been much info since then. However, earlier today renders of the Moto E6 appeared online. Now just a few hours later, Motorola has officially announced the device and it’s available starting today.

Like the previous phones in Motorola’s E series, the Moto E6 is a very affordable low-end device. It has a relatively small 5.5-inch LCD display with large bezels for 2019’s standards. That is to be expected from a device that costs only $149. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 435 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable), and a 3,000mAh battery.
Phones in this price bracket will often have at least one standout feature. The Moto E6 is barebones in every sense of the word. It only has one rear camera, a 720p display, no NFC, no fingerprint scanner, a microUSB port, and a pretty small battery. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack at least, and it’s running Android Pie. Otherwise, this is a pretty basic cheap phone.
Pricing & Availability
The Moto E6 is available starting today (July 25) from Verizon for $149 (or $6.24 per month). It will eventually be coming to T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Consumer Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile as well. There will also be an unlocked model coming to Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Walmart. Motorola says the phone will be coming to Canada this Summer for $149.
