Late last month, OnePlus rolled out the final OxygenOS Open Beta updates for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Those updates brought the new Zen Mode from OxygenOS 9.5, while earlier betas brought Digital Wellbeing and Fnatic mode. However, neither the beta nor the stable channel has added the OnePlus 7’s new screen recorder app, as OnePlus promised in late May. With today’s OxygenOS 9.0.7 stable update for the 2017 OnePlus smartphones, that changes.

The latest update is rolling out globally, and it brings the June 2019 security patches, the screen recorder app capable of recording internal system audio, the quick reply in landscape feature, Fnatic mode, and a fix for speed dial in the dialer app. Fnatic mode is an enhanced gaming mode toggle that enables the following: Do Not Disturb mode for all notifications and calls, enhanced process regulator, and network enhancements. Some of you may have previously side-loaded the screen recorder APK, but now that it’s installed as a system app, you should be able to record internal game audio. As for the quick reply in landscape feature, it’s a neat feature that opens up a chat app in split-screen view along with a floating keyboard, but it’s sadly limited to just Instagram, WhatsApp, WeChat, and QQ.
OnePlus has promised to upgrade the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T with additional features from the OnePlus 7 Pro, including DC Dimming and RAM Boost. The company has also promised an Android Q update for both devices. We’ll let you know when those updates start rolling out, but for now, here’s the changelog for OxygenOS 9.0.7.
