Huawei Nova 5i Pro press renders reveal Mate 20-like camera bump

Huawei’s Nova series targets a broader price spectrum around the mid-range, offering several options to suit different budgets. Huawei recently launched the Huawei Nova 5, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro and the Huawei Nova 5i in China. The “i” connotation usually represents a step down from the main series, but now, Huawei appears to be launching the Huawei Nova 5i Pro as press renders of the phone have now appeared online, along with several key specifications thanks to its TENAA listing.

MySmartPrice has shared press renders of the upcoming Nova 5i Pro. In these renders, the phone is showing off its quad rear camera setup arranged in a format which is similar to that of the Huawei Mate 20. The rear camera setup on the Nova 5i Pro will comprise of a primary 48MP, f/1.8 sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens camera, one 2MP sensor for depth sensing and another 2MP macro lens camera. The flash module is seen outside of the camera module, and you can also spot the conventional fingerprint scanner below the camera module. The front camera on the phone, located on the left, is expected to be a 32MP, f/2.0 sensor.

The phone is expected to come with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage, along with expandability options (though unknown if it will make use of Huawei’s proprietary nano memory card). The Nova 5i Pro will come with a 4,000 mAh battery, and Android 9 Pie through EMUI 9.

Huawei is expected to launch the device on July 26th in China. The phone shares its model number with what would have been the Huawei Mate 30 Lite. It is unknown if the device will make its way outside of China.
