After the Samsung Galaxy A10s and LG X2 2019 got their specifications revealed through the Google Play Console Device Catalog and the Android Enterprise Recommended website, we now have the HTC Wildfire X and the Verizon Motorola Moto E6 making an appearance.
HTC Wildfire X
HTC is planning to reboot their long dead Wildfire series with new releases this year. The Wildfire series was HTC’s budget lineup in its prime days. But the company is long past its prime, and the budget segment is heavily dominated by Chinese players such as Xiaomi. So rather than be conservative and test the waters first, HTC is going all in with as many as five phone releases in this series. Russian website Rozetked leaked images and specifications for the HTC Wildfire, HTC Wildfire E, HTC Wildfire E Plus and HTC Wildfire E1. The website then pulled down their article, but you can still find the specifications and images from this leak online.
The fifth phone in the rebooted Wildfire series is the HTC Wildfire X. Specifications for this phone do not match any of the other phones leaked.
Much like the other phones in the series, the HTC Wildfire X will also be targeting the budget segment. However, the device render suggests that it will not have a notched display. On the inside, the phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) SoC with 4GB of RAM. The phone will sport a 19:9 display with 1520 x 720 resolution, though the screen diagonal is not yet known. The Wildfire X will also run Android 9 Pie.
Motorola Moto E6
Several key specifications for the Motorola Moto E6 were already revealed by Mishaal, while device renders were posted by Evan Blass on his private Twitter account. Collating the information already revealed and new information from Google’s resources, we know that the Motorola Moto E6 (device codename: surfna) will come with a 5.5″ 1440 x 720 display in a 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, 2GB of RAM, options of 16GB or 32GB for storage, a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera and a 5MP f/2.0 front camera. Because of its budget positioning, the Moto E6 will lose out on NFC as well as a fingerprint scanner. The phone will run Android 9 Pie, and will be able to run on Verizon’s network.
