Alongside the launch of the Galaxy S10 family, Samsung took to the stage at Unpacked 2019 to launch the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch and the Samsung Galaxy Fit smartband. Now, the company has launched these products in India, along with a new entry-level smartband called the Samsung Galaxy Fit e.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active
The Galaxy Watch Active brings a new look to Samsung’s smartwatch lineup, removing the front bezel in favor of a more sleek and modern design. The watch sports a 1.1-inch 360 x 360 full-color AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The watch has dimensions of 40mm x 40mm x 10.5mm, with a weight of 25g without the straps. You get the ability to use 20mm interchangeable straps.
On the inside, the Galaxy Watch Active uses the dual-core Exynos 9110 AP with a maximum clock speed of 1.15GHz. This is complemented by 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, a 230mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n support, NFC, A-GPS, and Glonass support. The watch also has a heart rate monitor, blood pressure monitor, and is certified for IP68 as well as MIL-STD-810G. Of course, the Galaxy Watch Active runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS 4.0. You can also make use of Bixby’s voice capabilities to make calls or send messages using voice commands.
Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e
While the Galaxy Watch Active is a watch with fitness features, the Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e are essentially fitness trackers with smartwatch features sprinkled on top (and both are not to be confused with the Samsung Galaxy Fit that was launched in 2011 — my first Android smartphone).

Indian Pricing and Offers
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will be available in four colors in India: Black, Silver, Rose Gold, Deep Green. The smartwatch will cost ₹19,990.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit will be available in Silver and Black colors and will cost ₹9,990. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Fit e will come in Black, White, and Yellow colors, and will cost ₹2,590.
The Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Fit are available across all retail stores and Samsung Opera House. The Galaxy Watch Active will also be available on Amazon.in besides Samsung e-Shop. The Galaxy Fit will be available on Flipkart and Myntra as well as Samsung e-Shop. The Galaxy Fit e will be available on Flipkart, Myntra, and Samsung e-Shop from July 5th till July 19th. After this period, the Galaxy Fit e will become available in select offline stores as well.
