Redmi K20/Mi 9T and Redmi 7A kernel sources are now available

Xiaomi has a big list of devices this year, especially when one includes their Redmi brand into the mix. Other than flagship releases like the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the recently launched MI 9T/Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi also has several other devices spread across the price spectrum. The Redmi 7A represents the very beginning of the latest Xiaomi device portfolio in terms of pricing, while the Redmi K20/Mi 9T presents itself as an alternate option for those that do not want to spend a lot of money on the flagship. Xiaomi has now released kernel sources for both of these devices for their Android Pie release.

Xiaomi had already released kernel sources for the Redmi K20 Pro, so the non-flagship sibling is now also at the same level of love. The Redmi K20 sports the same display and design as the K20 Pro, but features a lower powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, a different 48MP Sony sensor and slower charging.

On the other hand, the Redmi 7A comes with a 5.45″ HD+ display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC and a single rear camera. The package is very basic, but such options have their own space in the market, and the Redmi 7A fits in perfectly. The device is also expected to launch in India and Europe soon.
