
Earlier this week, we found out that the next Android One smartphone from Motorola will be the Motorola One Vision, which will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9610 SoC, as is found on the Samsung Galaxy A50 too. After 91Mobiles and @OnLeaks brought to us CAD renders of the Motorola One Vision/Motorola P40, we now have a new render from Tigermobiles that corroborates the previous render and confirms the 48MP rear camera and punch hole display.
The Motorola One Vision, or the Motorola P40 as it would be known in China, is reportedly coming with a 6.2″ display with a punch hole on the top left corner for the front camera. The phone will have a dual rear camera setup, of which the primary shooter will be marketed as 48MP, even though Motorola will employ a QCFA (Quad Color Filter Array) for better noise reduction and per-pixel details for its default picture-taking resolution of 12MP. The camera will be capable of “Video 3D HDR” and “Long Exposure” features, though details are scarce regarding what these features actually do.
On the inside, the device will come in 3GB and 4GB RAM options and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options, though the combinations are unknown. The Moto One Vision XT1970 will also have a 3,500 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For its software, the Motorola One Vision will launch with Android 9 Pie and be a part of the Android One program. Consequently, Motorola will have to commit to providing 2 years of Android platform update (i.e. Android Q and Android R) and 3 years of security updates. It is also expected that Motorola will be adding a few of its own apps on top of the stock Android experience.
Update 1: New Details
The ever-reliable WinFuture has shared new renders and details on the Motorola One Vision, corroborating many of our earlier leaks and shedding light on new aspects of the phone. The publication has obtained renders and specifications from what is likely an unlisted product page from a retailer or Motorola themselves, approximately 5 days before the device is expected to launch in Brazil.


WinFuture reports that the device will have a 6.3-inch “CinemaVision” LCD at 2520×1080 (21:9) and 432PPI. We expected the device to have a tall 21:9 display, but this new leak confirms it. The smartphone is apparently running on the Exynos 9609 mobile platform, which hasn’t yet been announced but is reportedly just a downclocked version of the Exynos 9610. It’s likely the Exynos 9609 and Exynos 9610 are board and software compatible, hence the confusion. The model that WinFuture found has 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage, though also we expect a 3GB RAM and/or 32/64GB storage models. The device has a 3,500mAh battery, dual SIM support, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The leak confirms that smartphone will have a 48MP f/1.7 primary rear camera sensor, something we expected, joined by a 5MP secondary rear sensor. Surprisingly, however, Motorola will offer OIS with the main camera. The previously leaked “Night Vision” and AI filter features have been corroborated, and a special mode for “movie-style shooting,” likely the “Video 3D HDR” mode, makes an appearance in the leak. Lastly, the leak states the front camera embedded underneath the punch hole display is a 25MP f/2.0 image sensor.
Motorola is expected to launch the Motorola One Vision in 5 days. The smartphone will join the other “Moto One” devices in Motorola’s Android One line. The device is said to launch in blue or bronze brown, weighing in at 180 grams and measuring 160.1 x 71.2 x 8.7 mm. The price of the One Vision is said to be €299, and WinFuture reports the new Motorola Verve earbuds will cost €129.99 in some countries.
