Magisk is one of the most popular rooting solutions right now. It has had some competition in the past, but if you want to root a phone in 2019, Magisk is the way to go. It is basically a full package, with both a flashable zip to get root access and root manager to control your modules, permissions, etc. The last major version, Magisk v19 beta, which brought native 64-bit support and Android Q support, was released at the end of March. It looks like the developer added quite a few features to it, so he is now releasing Magisk v19.1.
Magisk stable release v19.1 and Magisk Manager v7.1.2 is live!

The latest stable version includes all the changes in the Magisk v19 beta and even more. For starters, it now supports Android Q Beta 2. The previous version only supported the first beta. Keep in mind that Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices are still unsupported as Google added logical partitions with Android Q update. You can now also long press the volume up button during the booting process to access the recovery mode. Some of the devices have native support of that, but for those who don’t, this is a very welcoming change. Sometimes you have to fire up adb or navigate from the fastboot menu just to go into recovery mode. Other details of the update include support of recovery based magisk, proper system_root mirror, and more.
Magisk Manager was updated too, bumping up the version to v7.1.2. The changelog is more modest, as it only adds the support of patching Samsung AP firmware. As for the improvements, the developer reports that module downloading mechanism is much better now. You can download both the Magisk and Magisk Manager from the XDA thread link below. All you have to do is flash the zip file via custom recovery (most likely TWRP) and install APK file.
