Google I/O 2019 is scheduled to begin on May 7th and Google is expected to showcase a lot of the upcoming changes to Google products and services to developers and to the world. While I/O does contain elements of Android (with one of the key announcements being the launch of Developer Previews for the next version of Android), it forms just a part of the much larger event. Google usually hosts a separate Android-centric developer event later on in the year, often shortly after the public release and naming of the newest Android version.
This year’s Android Dev Summit has been announced for October 23rd and October 24th. The event will be held at the Google Event Center (MP7) in Sunnyvale, California. The event will consist of technical sessions and workshops with the Android engineering teams, hands-on experience with product demos, and the opportunity to interact with the people who have worked on Android and get questions answered regarding the new changes in Android.
That's right! #AndroidDevSummit is back, October 23-24 in Sunnyvale CA! Save the date and make sure to tune in for all the exciting news and releases from the #AndroidDev team.

If you can not attend the event in person, you can catch the livestream of the keynote and other sessions. Sessions are also recorded and made available for viewing after the event. Google also hosts viewing parties at off-site locations, so maybe you can also look to attend one of those in-person. And we hear there is also an after-party at the main event…
