The Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India last month for a price of ₹28,990 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, bringing some decent specifications and a unique camera setup to that price point. If you want an elevating camera setup and have a slightly tighter budget, Vivo has now released the Vivo V15 in the country for a price of ₹26,990.

The Vivo V15 comes in Royal Blue, Frozen Black and Glamour Red colors, and is priced at ₹23,990 (~$347). It will be available for pre-order from Vivo India eStore, Amazon.in, Flipkart, Paytm Mall and other online and offline stores from March 25th and go on sale from April 1st. Launch offers include no-cost EMI options, 5% cashback for SBI debit and credit cards, one-time screen replacement within 6 months of purchase, and up to 3.3TB 4G data for Jio 4G users.
The Vivo V15 occupies a very weird spot. As the name would imply, the Vivo V15 is theoretically worse than the Vivo V15 Pro (which is to be expected, since it is the regular variant). But Vivo’s pricing does not leave too much of a gap between the two, because of which the V15 offers poor value-for-money. The regular V15 also comes with rather outdated technologies such as Bluetooth 4.2 and microUSB. Coupled with the Helio P70 (which stands nowhere close to the Snapdragon 675 as found on the V15 Pro) as well as an “inferior” rear camera setup, we are left wondering what exactly Vivo is trying to achieve with the V15. If you are one of those people who do your research before making a phone purchase, you would clearly prefer the V15 Pro despite the higher price tag.
