Samsung’s latest Android Pie-based One UI software has received praised from us as the best software the company has ever released. Samsung’s latest software offers a consistent design centered around one-handed ease-of-use, a system-wide dark theme, and gesture navigation. We had the first hands-on video of Android Pie-based One UI back in September. Last month, we learned that the stable update of Android 9 Pie for the Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9 will be released in January. As it turns out, Samsung decided to roll out the build early, as the update is already available in some European countries like Germany, Switzerland, and Italy for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users.
A member on the SamMobile forums broke the news today. The software version for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are G960FXXU2CRLI and G965FXXU2CRLI respectively. You can already download the images from SamMobile or using the SamFirm tool and flash them with Odin if you want to install the update manually. We don’t know when the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will get the stable update.

According to SamMobile, the update rolled out to both beta testers of One UI and stable users on Android Oreo as well. You can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update. It’s likely that Samsung is going with a gradual rollout of the update, which would explain why the update is currently live only in a few European countries.
