The OnePlus 6T is just a few weeks old, but it is already receiving an update. This is one of the reasons why Android enthusiasts like OnePlus devices so much. OxygenOS 9.0.6 is rolling out right now via an OTA update. The changelog includes a number of fixes and improvements, including a better unlocking experience and more battery optimizations. Here is the full changelog from OnePlus.
System
- Improved unlocking experience
- Optimized standby power consumption
- General bug fixes and improvements
Communication
- Fixed issues with adding APN on Verizon network
Third-Party Apps
- Fixed issues with no notifications from Play Store
Camera
- Optimized image processing
These are some welcomed changes to the OnePlus 6T. There was a weird issue where users were not getting notifications from the Play Store. That has been fixed. They also resolved the issue with adding APN on Verizon. We’ll have to see how the unlocking and standby power improvements work over time.
As per usual, this is a staged rollout, so it won’t arrive on all devices at the same time. This update is only for the Global variant of the OnePlus 6T, not for the T-Mobile variant. T-Mobile users will have to wait for it to get approved. If you don’t feel like waiting for the OTA, and you don’t mind sideloading the update manually, you can download it right here.
