Android Pie internal beta update leaks for the Nokia 8

HMD Global has proven themselves to be one of the few device makers that can deliver regular Android updates to all their devices. All of their Nokia-branded devices feature near-stock Android out-of-the-box, and many of the devices are part of the Android One program. The Nokia 7 Plus was one of the few non-Google devices to receive an Android Pie beta before the official release. The company has rolled out official Android Pie updates for the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Nokia 6.1 already. It now seems that the company is preparing to drop the latest Android version onto their flagship phone from last year, the Nokia 8, as the latest internal build of Android Pie has appeared online thanks to XDA Senior Member hikari_calyx, posting on his Twitter account.

If you have a Nokia 8 and you want to check out the latest version of Android on your phone, visit the forum thread linked below containing with instructions on how to flash it. It’s unclear if you’ll be able to migrate from this build to the official release, which is expected to drop shortly. The OP of the forum thread linked below recommends you unlock the bootloader of your device for when something goes wrong, so you can easily restore it to working condition.
