Vivo is one of the largest smartphone vendors in India. The company has a firm foothold in the upper mid-range price segment along with its sister company OPPO. In July, Vivo launched the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-powered Vivo NEX in India for a price tag of ₹44,999. The Vivo NEX is the company’s flagship in India, but its mid-range offering traditionally comes from the V series. Right on time, it launched the Vivo V11 Pro in India a couple of weeks ago. The V11 Pro is a downgraded variant of the higher-end Snapdragon 670-powered Vivo X23.

The Vivo V11 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It also has a waterdrop notch (just like the X23). Interestingly, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor, making it the cheapest phone in India to have such technology. (Notably, the Vivo X21 was the first phone to launch in India with an in-display fingerprint sensor.) At the launch event, however, Vivo also stated that it would soon launch the regular Vivo V11 in the country but didn’t reveal any specifications or pricing. Now, a 91Mobiles report states that the publication has learned almost all specifications and pricing of the V11 from its unnamed retail sources.

According to 91Mobiles, the Vivo V11 will be a mid-range smartphone that features the company’s Halo display. Display size is unknown for now. (The Vivo V11 Pro has a 6.41-inch 19:9 display.) The Halo display is Vivo’s term for the tiny notch that looks like a waterdrop. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC—a downgrade from the Snapdragon 660. It will also have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The Vivo V11 will have dual 16MP + 5MP rear cameras, and a 25MP front-facing camera. 91Mobiles states that it will not have an in-display fingerprint sensor, as it will instead go for a conventional sensor. (It’s probable that this conventional sensor will be mounted on the back.)

In terms of pricing, 91Mobiles’ source suggests that the Vivo V11 will be priced at ₹23,990, a tier down from the Vivo V11 Pro, which has been priced at ₹25,990. It will supposedly be launched on September 26, and will be available across Vivo’s distribution channels in Starry Night and Nebula colors.
