Are you looking for a decent 5G smartphone that will hit it out of the park, but you don’t want to break the bank? When you add stock Android experience and guaranteed updates into the requirements, very few candidates are left. Fortunately, there is the Nokia 8.3 5G that ticks most of the boxes right off the bat. And for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday period, the phone has effectively dropped to $550 at Best Buy, allowing you to get as much as $150 off the regular price.
- At $550, you're getting a 5G-enabled Nokia device with a Snapdragon 765G and a massive 4,300 mAh battery that should be more than able to keep up with you and your habits.
The Nokia 8.3 5G is the company’s first, and so far only, 5G-enabled smartphone. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, the same processor found on the Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G. It also features a 120Hz display, a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an FM radio receiver, plus expandable memory with a microSD slot. In terms of software, the Nokia 8.3 comes with Android 10 out-of-the-box, and its Android 11 update should land before the end of this year. In fact, the phone is part of Google’s Android One program and comes with the guarantee of two Android version updates and three years of security updates.
When it comes to pricing, though, most agree that the Nokia 8.3 5G is rather expensive than it should be. Lucky for you, many retailers have discounted the model for the week, and Best Buy even has a Black Friday discount on the phone if you activate with them. With the extra activation discount, you can get the 128GB variant of the Nokia 8.3 for just $550!
Best Buy is offering the aforementioned price on the TA-1243 model, which is the carrier unlocked dual SIM variant. If you’ve been eyeing a new Nokia 8.3 5G, this is probably the right time to jump on one, as we can’t imagine how long the stocks last.
