The Galaxy S11 series consists of the big flagship devices that Samsung will be showing off early next year. However, the company has some other interesting devices on the horizon as well. We’ve been tracking a mysterious “Galaxy S10 Lite” device for a few months along with an even more elusive “Galaxy A91.” It turns out these two devices may actually be one, and now there are renders of the device.
The Galaxy A91 first popped up back in August when a page for Samsung’s 45W charger name-dropped the device. Shortly after, rumors popped up about a Galaxy S10 Lite and it was later confirmed by an FCC listing. One interesting thing that we discovered from the FCC listing was that the IMEI was identified as belonging to the “Galaxy R5,” which was the rumored name of the Galaxy A91. So the evidence is starting to suggest that these two devices are actually one, though we don’t know which name it will have at launch.
Anyway, the renders show a device with a centered punch-hole display and triple cameras in a configuration similar to the Galaxy S11. In fact, the entire design is very close to what we’ve seen of the Galaxy S11 series. One of the cameras in the renders is rectangular and this is said to be either a zoom lens or tilt OIS. There are actually two versions of the renders, one with three cameras and one with four, as it’s not yet known for sure which configuration it will have.
The Galaxy A91/S10 Lite is said to have 6.7-inch full-HD+ display. Some of the other expected specifications include the Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A91 is also said to have a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
As mentioned, the number of rear cameras is still up in the air. The device could launch with a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP telephoto lens. Another possibility is a 48MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP telephoto lens. We’re getting a clearer picture of this device, but a lot is still unknown.
