Following the recent launch of the Realme XT and Realme X2 last month, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up for the launch of its first true flagship – the Realme X2 Pro. In a string of tweets from Realme Europe’s official account, the company has revealed a few key specifications of the upcoming device.
To move the quickest smartphone, you need the quickest processor.

Realme has now confirmed that the Realme X2 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ chip and will feature a 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display. The device will also include support for 65Watt VOOC fast charging. However, it’s not clear whether it will include a compatible charger in the box.

While the tweets don’t reveal any further information, the company’s Europe website sheds light on the Realme X2 Pro’s camera setup. The device will feature a quad-camera module, including a 64MP primary sensor, a 115-degree ultra-wide angle lens, a telephoto lens, and a dedicated portrait lens. It will also include support for 20x hybrid zoom, which we have previously seen in phones like the Oppo Reno 2.
The company also boasts of the phone’s improved low-light capabilities, thanks to a wider aperture and larger pixel size. Additionally, the Realme X2 Pro will also be able to take crisp macro shots, allowing users to get as close as 2.5cm to the subject, something that we recently saw on the OnePlus 7T.
As of now, the company hasn’t revealed other essential specifications, including the display size and RAM. However, the website promises to reveal more about the upcoming device in the coming days. There’s also no word on the release date so far, but a recent Weibo post from the company’s CMO Xu Qi Chase suggests an imminent launch.
Taking into account the available specifications, the Realme X2 Pro seems like a compelling smartphone that will go against the Redmi K20 Pro and the OnePlus 7T. While there are no details on the pricing either, the company is expected to set a competitive price tag in accordance with other budget flagships in the market as well as its own pricing history.
