Google Pixelbook Go leaks extensively in hands-on photos and video

We are just a few days away from Google’s launch event in New York, where the company is expected to take the wraps off the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, a new Pixelbook, and possibly some surprise announcements too. While the Google Pixel has been leaked in its absolute entirety in terms of hardware and software, a few details were still missing in the Pixelbook puzzle. Thanks to a new report by 9to5Google, we now have our best and most extensive look at the Google Pixelbook Go, the company’s newest Chromebook laptop.

9to5Google got their hands on a Pixelbook Go prototype that is expected to closely resemble the final design of the product. The one aspect of this laptop that immediately stands out is its ribbed underside. The coral color also ties in well with the color of the Oh So Orange Pixel 4.

While the underside is grippy and ribbed, the top of the laptop has a smooth matte finish. The logo that you see is a placeholder for the prototype; the final product will have a conventional “G” logo.

The laptop has 2x USB Type-C ports, one on each side. Curiously, there is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is something that has been missing in the recent Pixel phones.

For the rest of its hardware, the Google Pixelbook Go is expected to come with a 13.3-inch touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The prototype pictured has FHD resolution, but the higher-end model could sport a 4K “Molecular Display” options. Inside, options are expected to range from Intel Core m3, i5 and i7 configurations, with options of 8GB/16GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage. The laptop will also come with a Titan-C chip, a 2MP front camera capable of 1080p @60fps and two front-firing speakers. The Pixelbook Go is expected to come in two colors: “Just Black” and “Not Pink”.
