[Update 2: Shown off in Times Square] Google Pixel 4 XL leaks yet again, this time in a new orange “Coral” color

Update 2 (9/17/19 @ 9:20 AM ET): Google is showing off the new orange/coral Pixel 4 in an ad in Times Square.

Update 1 (9/10/19 @ 11:45 AM ET): A new photo and video show off the Pixel 4 in the Orange/Coral color.

Although Google’s hardware team wasn’t present at IFA this week, the fruits of their labor have still dominated the headlines. We’ve been inundated with leak after leak after leak. Just take a look at how much we’ve posted about the Pixel 4 smartphones in the past 48 hours. Of course, the week still isn’t over yet, so there has to be more leaks, right? Thanks to one user on Weibo, we now have the first live image of the previously unseen Google Pixel 4 XL in orange.

The image shows off 3 different colors of what’s likely the Pixel 4 XL: white, black, and a new orange-looking color that the Weibo user says is called “coral.” The color of the “coral” model indeed matches the actual coral color. Like the previously-leaked white and black models, the coral model doesn’t come with a dual-tone back like earlier Pixel smartphones. Take a look at the color “coral” followed by the leaked image shared on Weibo.

Furthermore, we know the code-name of the Pixel 4 XL is “coral,” and the ever-reliable leaker Roland Quandt recently revealed that the XL model is coming in “orange.” Thus, in all likelihood this leak is legitimate.

To briefly summarize what we learned about the Pixel 4 smartphones this past week, we learned about potential new camera features including Audio Zoom, Live HDR, better Wide-angle Selfies, improved Night Sight, and a new “Motion Mode.” We also learned about the phone’s 8X zoom capability, 6GB RAM, and 90Hz display. We further learned about the Soli gesture regional restrictions and the likely LTE band support. That’s a lot to take in, and I wouldn’t blame you if you feel overwhelmed by all these leaks. The smartphones should launch about a month from now, though, so hopefully, there isn’t a lot left for us to learn because otherwise, the wait will be agonizing.

Update 1: New Photo and Video

The leaks are getting out of hand now. A new photo and short video show off the Pixel 4 in the new Orange/”Coral” color. There’s not much else to glean from these new leaks other than getting a better idea of what the color will look like in real life.
