In the company’s typical fashion, OnePlus has been slowly “leaking” out details about the upcoming OnePlus 7T. We’ve already seen official renders of the device, we know it will have a 90Hz display, it will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it will also charge faster. The next bit of news has to do with software, and it’s good news: Android 10 will ship on the OnePlus 7T.
Experience Android 10 preloaded on the #OnePlus7T, no download required. Coming September 26.

This is no surprise if you’ve been following OnePlus’ recent OxygenOS updates. Quickly after Google released Android 10 for the Google Pixel phones, OnePlus had an Open Beta of Android 10 for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Last week, OnePlus already released the stable version of OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10 for the OnePlus 7/Pro. So the software is clearly ready for the OnePlus 7T.
While it may not be ground-breaking news, it’s still nice to know the OnePlus 7T will be released with the latest version of Android. We’ll surely see many phones still launch with Android Pie some time into next year. OnePlus does a good job with their software support and starting with the latest and greatest is more evidence of that. We’ll learn more about the OnePlus 7T (and OnePlus TV) later this week.
