The Realme XT launched late last month with its most noteworthy feature being its 64MP primary rear camera. The brand boasts the phone has the distinction of being the “first 64MP smartphone to launch in India.” The other parts of the phone, however, are firmly in the mid-range category, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing given its pricing. XDA TV‘s Sandeep Sarma recently published a full video review of the device along with a camera comparison with the Vivo Z1x.
Sandeep says, in his opinion, you won’t find a better device at the same price point as the Realme XT. He talks about the cameras being a great reason to buy the device, but even if you’re not looking for a stellar camera, the Realme XT is still a great all-around device. It’s not a one-trick pony or a phone with only gimmicky features. Sandeep also says the XT is a great upgrade over the Realme 5 Pro.
Now, about that 64MP camera. Sandeep also put the Realme XT up for a camera comparison against a phone in a similar price bracket: the Vivo Z1x. On paper, it seems like the Realme XT should best the Z1x given its better camera hardware. Sandeep shows that it’s actually a pretty close battle, though, which each device having its own strengths and weaknesses. At the end of the day, it depends on the characteristic you’re looking for.
