Even with the improvements expected in devices coming out later this year, it becomes difficult to refrain from comparing these upcoming smartphones with one of the best Android performers of the year: the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Before we briefly revisit some of our thoughts on the OnePlus 7 Pro, we first want to tell you about some great back-to-school deals you’ll see from OnePlus, which also includes the solid OnePlus 6T.
OnePlus Back-to-School Deals
For the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus is offering a flat $50 discount across all variants. Further, 0% interest financing options are also available on 6 or 12 monthly installment choices. OnePlus is also including a Sandstone Case and the OnePlus Bullets Type-C for free across all variants. This again makes it an irresistible deal for those looking to get their hands on a solid value device.
For the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus is offering 0% interest financing options on 6 or 12 monthly installment options. This makes it cheaper and easier to purchase the device in installments. Additionally, for the 6GB + 128GB variant, OnePlus is also including a Sandstone Case and the OnePlus Bullets Type-C for free, making this a very sweet deal for all users who are interested in the base variant.
Further, under the Student Program, students have an additional 5% discount above and beyond all of these offers.

OnePlus 6T
The OnePlus 6T was a great smartphone when it was launched. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC continues on its impressive run and is now considered Qualcomm’s second-best smartphone chip in terms of performance. Several of the headlining software features, such as Fnatic Mode, Zen Mode, Screen Recorder, DC Dimming have either already arrived on the OnePlus 6T, or will come over soon. Since the OnePlus 6T was fairly future proof when it was launched, it has aged very well and can now be considered as a very solid purchase at its current price.

OnePlus 7 Pro
The OnePlus 7 Pro is OnePlus’s flagship release for this year, and it has the strongest set of hardware specifications that the company has ever put in a phone.
The OnePlus 7 Pro features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, which comes with the Adreno 640 GPU, as well as up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 Dual-Lane storage. We have tested out the OnePlus 7 Pro through extensive benchmarks — and the scores have been very impressive.
Display-wise, it has a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display that curves off on the sides. There are virtually no bezels on the device, apart from a tiny bottom bezel and an even smaller top bezel housing the earpiece. The bezel-less aspect of the phone isn’t even its best part — the best standout feature for the display is the fact that you now have a 90Hz QHD AMOLED panel.
OnePlus’s Warp Charge fast charging technology also deserves fair praise of its own. OxygenOS too has gone to become one of the best custom Android skins available on the market, with the right balance of features and customizations, while staying within sight of the stock Android experience. The OnePlus 7 Pro will also receive official Android Q from OnePlus, of course.
