Leak season is in full force for the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL this past week, as we went into full overdrive with a ton of new information and confirmations on previous leaks. The earliest leaks for the new devices had come in from OnLeaks when he shared renders for the same. But just this past week, we saw images of the white color model, the orange “Coral” color model, hands-on video, and even a leaked promo video. Now, we have more shots of the Google Pixel 4 XL, showing off the Black and White colors side by side.
As is visible in the images above, the black variant appears to have a glossy and shiny back glass, while the white variant apparently has more of a subdued, matte finish. The white color also appears to have black sides, which adds a bit of a character to the phone. We can also see the fronts of the phone — as we can see, the leaker has set a white-colored wallpaper on one phone and a dark variant of the same wallpaper on the other; though users will very likely be able to use either wallpaper on any of the phones, so this is a non-issue. We can also see the bezels and the disproportionate forehead on the phones. Whether you like the disproportionate forehead or not, that is a matter entirely of preference. I personally do not mind a full bezel if it avoids a notch. The person sharing the images mentions that the phones pictured are the Google Pixel 4 XL (and not the regular Pixel 4), and we are inclined to agree on the basis of the apparent size of the device.
The next set of images shows off more of the same. In focus again is the glossy look of the black color and the not-as-reflective appearance of the white color. We also get a look at the Always On Display on the Google Pixel 4 XL.
The Google Pixel 4 and the Google Pixel 4 XL are expected to come with 6GB RAM, 8x Zoom, improvements to Night Sight and a new Motion Mode and sky photography feature. We also expect the phones to come with Audio Zoom, Live HDR, and better Wide-Angle selfies, as well as be the vessel for the debut of the Pixel Themes app. We’re very excited to see what Google’s flagship brings to the table, stay tuned for more!
