The ASUS ROG Phone II is the talk of the town in forums for smartphone enthusiasts, including XDA and Reddit. It ticks all the right boxes with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, 120Hz OLED display, 6000mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, 12GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, and much more. Having used the phone for a few weeks since I picked it up in China, I’m excited for the phone to reach the hands of consumers globally. Ahead of the global release, ASUS has published a long list of games that support running at over 60fps, so you can enjoy buttery smooth action on your gaming smartphone.
Many of the games on this list will automatically be populated in the “Featured” page in the built-in Armoury Crate app on the ROG Phone II, but you can also just search through the Google Play Store to find the games. Do note that although many of these games aren’t locked to 60fps, you aren’t guaranteed to run at a constant 120fps if the game is particularly demanding. I can confirm this to be the case while testing Honkai Impact 3rd. You should definitely play around with the settings in Armoury Crate to optimize game performance.
Before you expand this list, take note that many of these games will require you to manually change in-game settings to unlock the fps. Most game developers choose conservative performance settings by default to accommodate a wide variety of smartphones on the market, but your ROG Phone II is perhaps the most powerful Android smartphone on the market so you’ll definitely want to increase the graphics to their maximum settings.
