The Huawei Mate 30 has only just recently started popping up on our radar. The phone was teased by China Unicom at the beginning of the month. Huawei then announced that the device will be shown off on September 19th. Later, we heard the Mate 30 will feature 25W fast wireless charging and the Kirin 990 chipset. We still haven’t actually seen the device yet, though that changes today.

Infamous Twitter leaker Ice universe tweeted the above image of the Huawei Mate 30 promotional poster. We can gather a few details from this poster. First, the text explicitly mentions the Kirin 990 and boasts about increased camera performance with Leica. From the phone itself, we can see a large camera bump with four cameras. The flash is alongside the camera bump, which means unlike the Mate 20 Pro, the fourth spot is a camera. It’s possible that the fourth camera is a T0F 3D sensor.
On the front, we can see a slim and wide notch that appears to have three sensors, one of which will likely be for facial recognition. The Mate 20 only had a single front camera, while the Mate 20 Pro had a single camera and 3D camera. Lastly, the image shows curved edges on the display and two colors: silver and teal. We’re expecting to see the Mate 30 officially announced some time in early September. So far, it doesn’t seem like a huge upgrade, but still a few noteworthy improvements.
