Another week is slowly wrapping up and we’ve got a slew of new forums to open! This wasn’t a super busy week for phone announcements, but we’ve still got 4 devices to add (some of which haven’t launched yet). The four devices are the Motorola One Action, Redmi Note 8, OPPO Reno 2, and Huawei Mate 30.
The Motorola One Action was announced a couple of weeks ago and it features a very unique camera. The third camera is an ultra-wide “Action” camera that works sort of like a GoPro. The sensor is rotated so you can take horizontal videos while holding the phone in portrait mode. It’s an interesting gimmick that we haven’t seen before.

The Redmi Note 8, announced this week, is the latest in Xiaomi’s ultra-popular Note series. The device has a lot in common with its predecessor when it comes to looks. One new feature is the addition of a macro lens camera. Overall, it’s a nice upgrade with slimmer bezels and the spec bumps you expect.
Another device that was announced this week is the OPPO Reno 2. The Reno series debuted earlier this year and the company is already adding more to the series. Like it’s predecessor, the Reno 2 features the same recognizable “shark fin” pop-up selfie camera. It has a big 6.5-inch bezel-less display and several spec improvements as well.
Lastly, a device that has not been officially announced, the Huawei Mate 30. The big news this week about the device was the report saying it will not launch with Google Play apps and services. The device is still set to be announced next month, but its launch is up in the air. There’s a lot to still learn, and the forums will be a great place to follow it.
