The Motorola Moto G5S was launched back in August of 2017, bringing a half-yearly upgrade over the Moto G5. Unlike prior releases in the G-series, the Moto G5S did not have a lot going for itself, and the device found itself competing poorly against the onslaught of cheaper-yet-better releases from Chinese OEMs. To Lenovo’s credit, the device did receive an update to Android 8.1 Oreo last year, but we haven’t really heard anything more about the phone beyond that, which is understandable given the budget targeting of the device.
On the other hand, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE was launched just last month. This smartwatch is among one of the few releases on the Wear OS platform in recent times. Other than being a smartwatch, the talking point of this device is the dual-layer display, comprising of both an LCD and an AMOLED display. Wear OS utilizes the AMOLED display, while the LCD displays only essential information while consuming very little battery. Now, both the devices, the Motorola Moto G5S from 2017 and the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE have received official TWRP support. This means that you can now get builds directly from the official TWRP website. You also get updates whenever the project receives an update or bug fixes.
