It seems that every day we get new leaks with regard to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. From leaked renders of the color options to Samsung testing a new 15W wireless charger, it’s been a bountiful build-up to launch. However, new information suggests that the Galaxy Note 10+ may support 20W wireless charging, 5 watts more than the standard variant. More interestingly, though, is that according to Roland Quandt of WinFuture, the US versions of the Galaxy Note 10+ will not feature Qualcomm’s latest SoC processor, the Snapdragon 855 Plus.

There aren’t a ton of changes with the Snapdragon 855 Plus, so if this report is true, the Galaxy Note 10+ likely won’t be missing out on a lot in terms of processing power. The regular Snapdragon 855 is still a top-of-the-line processor, so the device will certainly not be lacking in the performance department. On the other hand, no upgrade means that the European version, featuring Samsung’s Exynos processor, has a chance at making up ground in terms of processing power. Traditionally, Exynos has been markedly weaker than Snapdragon overall. According to Quandt, the Galaxy Note 10+ will feature the new Exynos 9825 Octacore SoC, Samsung’s latest and greatest.
In other news, reputable leaker Ice Universe has “confirmed” that the Galaxy Note 10 will support 25W wired charging and the Galaxy Note 10+ will support 45W charging. However, both devices will only ship with a 25W charger in the box.

Continuing our charging leaks, Roland Quandt tweeted saying that both versions of the device will feature 20W wireless charging.
btw: FCC says EP-N5200 Wireless Charger for #GalaxyNote10 has 9V/2.77A input = ~25W. Add a little loss and you got a 20W charger.

20W is quite a lot for wireless charging. The only other device that supports such a high wattage right now is the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Things are looking really exciting for the Galaxy Note 10/10+. All the leaks we have seen so far indicate that it’s well on track for the smartphone of the year. We don’t yet know the size of the battery that either of the devices will contain, but either way the fast charging – if you invest in a better charger – is a great feature. While it’s slightly disappointing that the device won’t have the new Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, the 855 should more than suffice. All will be revealed on August 7th.
