The Summer months are typically a slower time for new smartphones, but that’s not always the case. We’ve seen 3 new phones get announced just this week. The Realme X, Realme 3i, and Xiaomi Mi A3 were announced in India for the former two and Spain for the last one, and we have opened forums for all three.
Realme X & Realme 3i
The Realme X is the higher-end phone of the duo. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, up to 8GB of RAM, dual cameras on the back, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 3,765mAh battery. The Realme 3i, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 and up to 4GB of RAM. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD, a single rear camera, a rear fingerprint scanner, and a 4,230mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi A3
The Xiaomi Mi A3 is the company’s 3rd generation Android One smartphone. Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a letdown on paper. Xiaomi simply rebranded their previously announced CC9e, which is a very mid-range device with some low-end device. It has a 6.088-inch AMOLED display which is lower resolution than both the Mi A1 and Mi A2 at HD+. The other specifications, including the Snapdragon 665, triple rear cameras, and in-display fingerprint scanner, are decent, but the display is a major bummer. While the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage, there’s no NFC support, which makes sense in a market like India but less so in Europe.
