LG unveils the G8S ThinQ with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and triple rear cameras

The LG G8S ThinQ was originally announced back in February alongside the regular LG G8. LG is no stranger to releasing multiple variants of their phones. In fact, LG had two different versions of the G8, one with dual cameras and one with triple cameras. The LG G8S also has a triple-camera setup and we finally have more information about this device.

There are a few key differences between the LG G8S and LG G8. The LG G8S has a larger 6.2-inch display with a lower resolution of 2248 x 1080. The battery is slightly larger at 3,550 mAh. As mentioned above, one variant of the standard LG G8 had triple cameras, but the LG G8S’ setup is a little different. It has a 12MP main camera, 12MP telephoto camera, and 13MP ultrawide camera.

Now, for the similarities. The LG G8S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and 6GB of RAM. Lg has also equipped the G8S with the same ToF “Z Camera” on the front for Hand ID, Face Unlock, and Air Gestures. The design of the LG G8S is also very similar to the standard G8. The G8S comes in three colors: Mirror Black, Mirror Teal, Mirror White.

LG has not shared the pricing yet, but the device is coming to Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and more regions.
