ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2’s latest update brings Digital Wellbeing

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes with a clean stock Android interface instead of the traditional Zen UI. The smartphone also received Android Pie update back in April and this too came with a stock Android interface. Now, the smartphone is getting another update and it brings key Android Pie features including Digital Wellbeing.

Besides Digital Wellbeing, the update with version 16.2017.1906.066 also brings the Google security patches from June 2019 for the ZenFone Max M2. Along with these additions, the update brings bug fixes such as:

  • The power-off icon in Dark mode is not black anymore.
  • There’s a new icon for the FM Radio.
  • The vibration intensity is not low anymore.
  • Low volume for headsets is fixed

The update appears to be rolling out in Japan at the moment and you can download the firmware package from the link below. If your smartphone’s product ID begins with “WW”, replace “JP” in the package name with “WW” and proceed to install the update. You can either do so using the stock recovery or by placing the installation ZIP in the root directory of your ASUS device.
