A new week means new Android devices being announced, and that means new XDA forums opening up. We’ve got three new devices being added to the forums this week (so far): ASUS ROG Phone II, Honor 9X, and Honor 9X Pro. Check out the links below to get started in the forums!
The ASUS ROG Phone II gives new meaning to the phrase “beast of a phone.” Just take a look at its spec sheet: 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC (GPU overclocked to 675MHz and CPU Prime core at 2.96GHz), 12GB of RAM, 3D vapor chamber, 6000mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the option to switch to ZenUI 6 at setup. Yes, this is a gaming phone, and it’s built to do that well.
Meanwhile, the Honor 9X and 9X Pro were unveiled in China today. They’re the company’s first phones with pop-up cameras. These two phones are remarkably similar. Companies usually throw bigger screens, larger batteries, and more powerful processors in their “Pro” variants. However, these two share the same size, and it’s only the RAM, storage, and cameras that get upgraded on the 9X Pro. Both phones are compelling options in the growing “premium mid-range” segment.”
