OnePlus’ OxygenOS is frequently updated with new features and this is what makes older OnePlus remain as fast as the new ones. Feedback plays a major role in the development and evolution of OxygenOS and the company seeks valuable inputs about new features from proficient users through its Open beta program before sending these features out to the stable channel. OnePlus’ Open beta updates are available for smartphones almost every two weeks and now it’s time for the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T to get their latest beta updates.

The OxygenOS Open betas 34 and 32 for the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T, respectively, bring Android 9 Pie’s Digital Wellbeing feature to the two smartphones. Even though the duo has had Android Pie for several months now, they are getting Digital Wellbeing now with the latest beta. This feature allows users to be mindful of the time they spend on their phone by breaking down their usage on the basis of the number of unlocks, time spent and notifications received per app. Additionally, features like Wind Down help users cut down usage during bedtime by turning the screen colors to grayscale.
Besides Digital Wellbeing, OnePlus 5 and 5T get the Fnatic mode from the OnePlus 7 Pro (our review). The Fnatic mode is meant to boost the performance and the network reception to offer an “immersive gaming experience” on the smartphones. Apart from these, OnePlus 7 Pro’s Zen Mode, Screen Recorder, DC Dimming, and RAM Boost are also expected to be available on the OnePlus 5/5T soon. Additionally, the two smartphones will also get updated to Android Q.
Lastly, the OxygenOS Open Betas also bring Google’s security patch from June 2019. The incremental and full OTA download links are as below:
