As you undoubtedly noticed over the weekend, we are now officially into the month of June. A new month means many things, but in the Android world, it means new Android security updates. Patches for this month have been released for the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel C, and Essential Phone. New for this month is the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL joining the ranks.
There are a few functional updates (chart below) for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 devices this month, but nothing super major. The Pixel C is no longer receiving major OS updates, so its monthly update is still Android 8.1 Oreo. As per usual, the folks at Essential are close behind Google with their Android security update for the Essential PH-1.
