The Honor 20 Pro was announced right as Huawei/Honor’s situation with the US trade ban was just beginning to unfold. This lead many people to assume that the device was dead in the water. We wrote in our review that the Honor 20 Pro may be the best device that never launches. It was expected to launch in India and it may still launch soon in other regions. One bit of evidence to support this is the DxOMark Scorecard we were sent from a trusted, anonymous source.
DxOMark has not yet posted their review of the Honor 20 Pro, but we received the image above from a reliable source. This leads us to believe the device may go on sale in more regions soon. Earlier this week, we saw more evidence to suggest this as the Honor 20 series was mentioned alongside Huawei’s list of 17 devices that are still planned to get Android Q/EMUI 10. The other bit of good news is the score itself. A score of 111 puts the Honor 20 Pro in 2nd place among smartphones.
While this isn’t a confirmation that the Honor 20 Pro will be going on sale in more countries soon, the evidence is starting to stack up. That’s good news for any fans of this device, especially since the camera seems to be great. It was a highly anticipated phone before the US trade ban occurred. There’s still a ton of questions revolving around this situation, but hopefully, consumers will still be able to purchase one of Honor’s best devices this year.
