Call recording is often associated with risky business but it can also be very useful, so much so that Google might be adding it the future versions of Android. It comes in handy when you wish to ensure that you don’t miss vital details during an interview or a business call without having to jot down tiniest of the details manually. Of course, it can also become essential when you have to deal with an uncooperative customer support staff or someone threatening you. While there are plenty of call recording apps for Android devices, many smartphone manufacturers are increasingly adding a native feature to help users record call easily. The feature comes pre-installed on the Huawei P30 Pro which runs on EMUI 9.1.
If you’re using any other Huawei or Honor smartphone running EMUI 9, you can add the call recording feature by installing a simple mod. To get this working, you neither need to authorize your smartphone with ADB nor root it – just ensure that it runs on at least EMUI 9 based on Android Pie and install the APK just like any other.

You can tap on the “Record” option during a call and the recording voice clips are stored in the voice Recorder app alongside other normally recorded clips.
Note 1: Call recording laws vary in different states of the U.S. such that you might be required to inform the other person when you’re taping the call. To make sure you don’t land into any legal trouble, check the laws in your state before you use the feature.
