OnePlus is set to announce the OnePlus 7 series next month. In typical OnePlus fashion, the company has begun trickling out details about the device. CEO Pete Lau has already confirmed the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature 5G support and a significantly upgraded display. The next bit of info comes from a teaser video and it concerns the cameras.

The teaser video was posted to Twitter with the comment “Bells and whistles make noise. We make phones.” The video clearly shows the outline of a phone with triple cameras on the rear. And just to remove any confusion, the tweet includes the hashtag #OnePlus7Pro.
Both the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T featured dual rear cameras last year. The OnePlus 7 Pro would be the first device from the company to have triple rear cameras. The secondary camera on previous OnePlus phones was used for depth perception, not the wide-angle or telephoto lenses we see on other devices. Three cameras likely mean we’ll see at least one of those features on the Pro model.
OnePlus phones have traditionally had okay cameras. This could mark a big improvement. Some other rumored specs for the OnePlus 7 Pro include QuadHD+, Super AMOLED, 90Hz refresh rate display, 4,000 mAh battery, and fast 30W charging. It may also be $200 more expensive than the OnePlus 6T. We’ll know more about the OnePlus 7 Pro and standard OnePlus 7 very soon.
