Nokia 7 Plus’ latest update adds a Lockscreen Magazine feature to cycle wallpapers, but it doesn’t work yet

Last year, at MWC 2018, HMD Global launched the Nokia 7 Plus alongside the Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 6. With a 6″ FHD+ 18:9 display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, the Nokia 7 Plus made for a decent mid-ranger for those who preferred enjoying Android in the vanilla flavor, with only a few Nokia sprinklings on top. The device was launched with Android Oreo under the Android One program, and has since then, gone on to be a part of the Android P Beta Program, received its stable Android Pie update and received updates with Digital Wellbeing features. Now, the Nokia 7 Plus is receiving a new update which brings to it a Lockscreen Magazine feature, which unfortunately does not seem to be working right now.

The v3.51F update for the device comes in at a good 1450MB and also brings along March 2019’s Android Security Patches.

The official changelog is not verbose and skimps out on details. Users have noticed that this update brings several bug fixes and improvements such as a black navigation bar on dark themes (except within a few apps like Google Play Games and Google News), a fix for the Adaptive Battery and the provision of 2x zoom in the Pro mode in the camera app.

The update also brings in a Lockscreen Magazine feature that would seemingly cycle through different wallpapers; unfortunately, users have reported that the feature is not yet functional in this update, and activating it does nothing at the moment.
