Leaked render of Samsung Galaxy A60 reveals triple rear cameras and Infinity-U display

Samsung recently decided to consolidate its product lineups by eliminating the Galaxy J-series and Galaxy On-series smartphones. Instead, Samsung was to refocus its efforts into a new online-focused M-series, as well as release multiple A-series smartphones to compete against Xiaomi and others in a very wide price band. One would think that this would have originally meant that Samsung may launch fewer phones with greater differentiation in features and prices, we are actually coming back to square one as more and more devices are being released. New leaks indicate that Samsung is now preparing to launch the Samsung Galaxy A60.

The Samsung Galaxy A60 will join the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50; as well as the Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30, while unconfirmed rumors also speak of a Samsung Galaxy A40 and Galaxy A70 being in the works.

For now, we will concentrate on the A60, as details for this device have emerged through a leaked render and spec sheet.

Samsung Galaxy A60 Leaked Render

The Samsung Galaxy A60 will allegedly come with a 6.7″ FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The front of the device will house the in-display fingerprint scanner (whether optical or ultrasonic, that is unknown), as well as a 32MP front camera. According to this leaked render, the back of the device will sport a triple camera setup comprising of a 35MP primary sensor, a 5MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

However, a different leak suggested that the primary sensor on the back will be 32MP, and that the phone will come with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone will sport a hefty 4,500 mAh battery, which will be charged through the USB Type-C port present on the bottom of the device alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Samsung Galaxy A60 is also expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6150, which as we know, is the internal codename of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The choice of the SoC seems a bit peculiar as all the other A-series and M-series devices that have been released this year have sported an Exynos SoC.

Sources for both, the leaked render and the specification sheet are not absolutely reliable, so reader discretion is advised on this set of leaks.
