Xiaomi launched the Mi 8 Lite back in September of this year and it took less than a month before an unofficial port of TWRP was released for it. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a number of variants available but those who are unable to (or unwilling to) spend a lot on a phone have the option of getting the Mi 8 Lite. It comes with the Snapdragon 660 SoC, a 6.26-inch 1080+ LCD screen, your choice of 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and it shipped with MIUI 10 (but the version that was based on Android 8.1 Oreo).
Xiaomi is now ready to begin beta testing its Android Pie version of MIUI 10 on the Mi 8 Lite and we have the direct download link for the update. Those who are interested need to have the bootloader unlocked on the device so that you can install TWRP. The download link is a recovery ZIP file so usually it can be flashed in TWRP or using the built-in MIUI Updater app. To flash this using the built-in MIUI Updater app you need to have an authorized Mi account.
However, those with TWRP installed can flash it just like any regular recovery/custom ROM ZIP file.
