Did you know Android has a native screensaver? It’s not a feature that many people talk about. It used to be called “Daydream,” but then Daydream VR became a thing and now it’s simply called “screen saver.” Regardless of the name, it’s one area of Android that doesn’t receive a lot of love. XDA Senior Member Humpie has created an app called Widget Screensaver that puts it to good use.
Widget Screensaver does exactly what the name implies. You can put any widget inside the screen saver. Whenever the screen saver is enabled, the widget will be displayed on the screen. It should work with any widget and there are some customization controls. Download the app from XDA Labs or the Google Play Store below.
