Samsung Galaxy A8s passes through TENAA with Infintiy-O display hole

Samsung has been one of the last hold-outs when it comes to using display notches. They recently showed that would be changing soon as they revealed 3 display cutout styles at their developer conference. One of those styles, the Infinity-O display, is set to debut on the Samsung Galaxy A8s, and we just saw it pass through TENAA.

We recently saw some concept renders of the Galaxy A8s with the Infinity-O display cutout for the front camera. This was just a concept, so we expected some of the details to be off. Now thanks to the TENAA listing, we can get a better look. First, the triple rear cameras are styled more like the iPhone X than the Galaxy A9, which is a bit odd. Otherwise, the concept render was pretty spot-on.

The big thing everyone is looking for is the Infinity-O display hole, but it’s hard to see in these TENAA images. Tweaking the brightness of the image makes it easier to see the display hole. It’s definitely there. That front camera is rumored to be 24MP. Other rumored specs include the Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 6.4-inch Full HD+ display, 3,300 mAh battery, and the triple rear camera setup of 25+5+10MP.

The Galaxy A8s has already cleared the FCC as well. It could be announced as early as January, but we have no word on pricing or availability yet.
