I think it’s safe to say Windows Phone (now “Windows 10 Mobile”) was not a success. The lack of high-quality applications and services on the platform prevented many users from switching. The unpopularity of Windows Phone also hurt the growth of the Nokia Lumia line – the Finnish manufacturer’s vision for the mobile industry. Whether you liked these devices or not, you can’t argue that most of them had impressive capabilities for the time. While most smartphones at the time had average cameras, Nokia Lumia phones had great cameras with the popular Pro Camera mode, which is now slowly making its way to Android.
The Pro Camera mode on Nokia smartphones lets you change the ISO, white balance, shutter speed, and many other photographic details. Pro Camera mode first set its foot on the Nokia 7 and the Nokia 8. Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas has announced today that Pro Camera mode is making its way to Nokia 5.1. Plus via Android Pie and the Nokia 6.1 Plus via December security updates, respectively. It is unknown when Nokia 6.1 Plus will get the Android Pie update.
We know that left already but he left one more gift behind before going back home to Korvatunturi Finland – Based on popular demand, Pro Camera is now available on Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 9 release and Nokia 6.1 Plus December release!

We don’t know the current schedule of the updates, but they should be available already. The Nokia 5.1 Plus’ Android Pie update started rolling out earlier. Go to Settings > About phone and check for the latest software updates. Let us know how you’re liking the newest Pro mode, which is now available for affordable devices by Nokia.
