Moto G7 may launch in Brazil ahead of MWC in February

Even before Motorola was acquired by Lenovo, the company found major success in its Moto G series of smartphones. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Moto G series has kept them from being shut down at this point in time. Their mid-range series of smartphones offers a capable combination of hardware at a fair price and did so at a time when the Android industry needed it. Sure, Xiaomi is doing the same thing, but its regional availability has made them less popular in certain regions. For instance, Brazil has been a major country that Motorola has found success in and we’re now hearing rumors that the company could launch the upcoming Moto G7 in the country before they show it off anywhere else.

We’ve been hearing about the Moto G7 series over the last few months, so we know it has to be arriving soon. The Moto G6 didn’t see its launch until April of this year, but Motorola may be pushing things faster for its successor. Last month, some press renders were leaked that claimed to show the waterdrop notch the Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus would come with. This was three months after our first look at what was said to be a hands-on photo of the front and back of the upcoming Moto G7.

We’ve also discovered a handful of different variants this device will come with. Along with the regular Moto G7, it was revealed that Lenovo would also likely be launching a Moto G7 Play, a Moto G7 Plus, and a Moto G7 Power with a massive 5,000mAh capacity battery. This is all early information, so various details like the exact design and even the names of these phones could change at any time. Now we are just waiting until they are revealed to the world. MWC 2019 is taking place at Fira Gran Via from February 25th to the 28th, but this new rumor tells us that Brazil will get a launch before its worldwide reveal.

It would make sense that Lenovo would give Brazil preferential treatment when it comes to Motorola devices as we are always hearing about soak tests for new software updates originating from the South American country.
