Lenovo finally delivers an “all screen” phone with the Z5 Pro

Lenovo Z5 Pro

The smartphone market is always evolving with different trends. One of the current trends is the reduction of bezels. OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 6T as their attempt at reducing the bezels as much as possible. However, it still has a notch for its front-facing camera and sensors (albeit a small one). The VP of Lenovo had teased the Lenovo Z5 would be a smartphone that would be truly bezel-less without any notch, but that didn’t happen. However, they did just announce the Lenovo Z5 Pro and it looks much closer to the sketch that had been previously teased.

When the VP of Lenovo published that design sketch it made major headlines because that was the point when notches were starting to dominate the market. We didn’t have the Vivo Nex S, the Oppo Find X, or even the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 to gawk at. So when the actual Lenovo Z5 was launched it put a major bitter taste in the mouths of those in the Android community. Many of us were looking forward to a device that looked completely different, and it looks like that day has finally come. The Lenovo Z5 Pro has been rumored for a bit and now it has just been announced.

While still not exactly what the VP of Lenovo showed off in the sketch, it looks a lot closer to what many were expecting. There is a slight chin at the bottom and this is something we’ve seen in multiple devices that have been advertised as “bezel-less” these days. Still, as a fan of the slim bezel trend, it looks great and comes with the following specs.
