Find My Device v2.3 can now show more precise indoor locations

find my device

Find My Device is a feature you may not think about often, but it can be a real lifesaver. It’s built into every Android phone with Google Play Services and allows you to remotely locate, lock, and ring the device. Even if you just can’t find the phone in your house, the feature comes in handy. Now it’s even more precise with the release version 2.3.

What’s New

  • Support for indoor maps to help you find your device in airports, malls, or other large buildings
  • Support for work profiles

The changelog for version 23 says you can find your device indoors with more precise location. That will be useful for large buildings such as airports, malls, doctor offices, etc. Google already has maps for many buildings like malls, which means you can know exactly where your device can be found. 2.3 also adds support for work profiles and there are some small visual tweaks.
