Xiaomi is known for releasing good phones at affordable prices. While some of you may have negative views on the company’s in-house skin, MIUI, you can’t deny that their developing efforts have been spectacular for the past couple of months. The company sends MIUI updates to dozens of its devices and never hesitates to help the development community. Such behavior always pushes both users and developers alike to respect the brand. The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite was released back in July. It is a budget Android One smartphone sporting some respectable specs, and now it’s receiving Android Pie.
The beta program for Android Pie on the Mi A2 Lite started barely two weeks ago. Apparently, the company already finished polishing the update. XDA Junior Member Majaque shared on the forum the screenshots of the Android Pie update on the device. According to the screenshots, the system comes with the latest November security patch. Apart from the obvious Android Pie features like adaptive battery and navigation gestures, the update also contains FM Radio.
There is not much more known about the update so far. If you own the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite yourself, you can check for the update in the About Phone category in settings. We’ll make sure to provide you with the ZIP file of the OTA update as well as the flashing instructions as soon as they’re available. The update is nearly a gigabyte in size, so make sure to keep that in mind if you use a limited data plan.
